I moved to Northern Virginia from Los Angeles about five years ago and fell in love with the lifestyle and people. Two years ago, we bought twenty acres on a mountain directly on the boarder of Virginia and West Virginia. I had always thought that West Virginia was a poor land full of rednecks but guess what? I was wrong!! The land in West Virginia (I go about every other weekend) is beyond beautiful and the people are the nicest people that I have ever been around. I have traveled all over this world and no place makes me feel more at home and more proud of America than when I am in West Virginia. If you have never been.... you simply must give it a taste. You will not regret it.
Welcome to the greenbrier valley of west virginia!

Wow!!! That was a great video!!!! Thank you for sharing it and for the nice response. I meant what I said about West Virginia and Virginia for that matter. I retired from the LAPD and never thought I would ever leave Los Angeles.... ever! But God works in mysterious ways and now I am here and I have the cabin up on the mountain.... on the boarder of West Virginia and I will say this. When my time comes.... I want to be buried up on that mountain. Those folks up there are real old timers. They have been up there for generations and they live life in a different.... more meaningful way than what I am used to. The thing is.... I never thought that they would accept a city guy like me and my family... I thought we would be considered intruders. Man... was I wrong!! The folks up on that mountain welcomed us with open arms and have always been so nice and friendly. Like family! I know that you understand... its where you are from. But trust me.... lots of people will never know the feeling of a gravel road, a loud creek, smoke from the chimney, and outhouse for a bathroom and honest to goodness real... authentic people for neighbors. I love it! Thanks again friend and stay safe!
