My favorite trails, not that I've been to a ton, are the southern Kettle Moraine. Beautiful area and the trails have a good variety.

I've really always wanted to, but have never actually gotten around to it. I live in Oahu right now until 2013, and I think I'm actually going to try it. Any tips for beginners, or just delve into it?

Military Ridge and Capitol City Trail are two great ones in the Madison area.

I live near Eau Claire so 9-mile in Wausau is fairly close. Levis Mounds rec area near Neilsville has trails I could ride every day and never get tired of. And if you're a little further north, the CAMBA trails near Cable, WI are a blast.

The Baird Creek Parkway in Green Bay offers both technical terrain (wet and dry) and also several miles of smooth riding.
