The Cumberland Falls State Resort Park is a state resort park and recreation area in Corbin, Kentucky. It is best known as the top drawing unit in the Kentucky state parks system.
Established in 1931, the Cumberland Falls State Resort Park features the Cumberland Falls, which is according to geologists, about 250 million years old (at least the rock over the falls is). It attracts romantics, as the falls is often described to have a ?poetic beauty?. It is so magnificent that it is also commonly referred to as the ?Niagara of the South?.
