The Lake Barkley State Resort Park is a state resort park and recreation area in Cadiz, Kentucky. It features the world class Lake Barkley Lodge.
Established in 1964, the Lake Barkley State Resort Park sits on the shore of the Lake Barkley, a reservoir created as a part of a flood control program for the area surrounding the Cumberland River. The lake has 58,000 surface acres and more than a thousand miles of shoreline.
Visitors of the Lake Barkley State Resort Park will find the Lake Barkley Lodge very endearing, with its design that seems like it has just emerged naturally from the wooded shoreline that wraps around it. Aside from the lodge and its outdoor swimming pool that overlooks the lake, visitors can also have a fun time boating, eagle watching, camping, fishing, biking, golfing, hiking, horseback riding, and swimming among other things.
