The Hendricks Hill Museum down in Southport can be found within a house that is of the 19th century era. It has various displays of period furnishings, fishing equipment that were used during the mid 1800s along with other navigational tools. It has another building that has tools, boats and equipment used for ice harvesting.
The building is composed of 8 rooms that include the parlor, map room, pantry, three bedrooms, kitchen, and the marine room. They also feature a boat shop that is a great addition to the all original structure where you can find the exhibits. Also an allotted reference room holds various materials for genealogical and archival purposes. They want to preserve ancient items that were used in the Southport Island between the periods of 1800 to 1950.
