Constructed in 1886, the Evans is part of the Maine Windjammer fleet. It offers ride to up to 22 adventurers, ecotourists, and seafarers on scheduled trips in the Penobscot Bay. It also notable for being the only ship of its kind to offer rides to children and their families. The ship?s range extends from Boothbay Harbor to Bar Harbor, Maine.
The schooner was declared a National Historical Landmark on December 4, 1992.
