Salem, Massachusetts is best known for its infamous witch hunts back in 1692. This period still plays a very huge part in everyone?s life in the city today, making the nickname of Salem the ?Witch City?.

A part of the witch-related tourism of Salem is the Cry Innocent Witch Trial play is held every summer. The show is a reenactment of the trials of Bridget Bishop, the very first person who was tried and executed for witchcraft in Salem.

The Cry Innocent Witch Trial play uses the transcripts of the trial for their performance. Being an interactive play, it allows the viewers to be the jury.

Aside from being a form of entertainment, the Cry Innocent play is also a quick historical account of what really happened back in the days of Salem's witch hunt period.
