Established as a grass roots organization in 1975 by a committed group of citizens, The Danforth Museum of Art was established by a group of committed citizens in 1975. Originally intended as a grass roots organization, the Museum has grown to become a significant cultural resource center for the people of Framingham. The Museum provides its visitors a venue where they can have entertaining, informative, and educational experiences pertaining to the visual arts.

The Danforth Museum of Art houses a collection consisting of American art pieces that are used in the Museum?s educational programs and exhibitions.
