The Georgetown-Rowley State Forest is composed of 1,112 acres of varying forest land and natural habitats. It features unique natural habitats and geographic features that make it a suitable location for the care and maintenance of many native and migrating animal species.

Recreational facilities and opportunities are also available to park visitors. The park itself is open for a variety of activities and is open year-round. Popular activities in the park include snowmobiling, cross country skiing, hunting, nature viewing, hiking, horseback riding, cycling, and many more.
