All Around the Africa World Museum is a museum in Lansing, Michigan that provides exhibits about African people and their contribution to the many parts of the world. The museum was a brainchild of Dr. Willie Davis Jr. Ph. D who got the idea from others and followed through with the project. The project started in 1996 at the El Hajj Shabazz Academy as a pictorial wall design about the history of Africa and its people.
Later on when the school moved to another location, the museum continued its exhibits and displays by acquiring its present location at 1136 Shepard Street, still in Lansing. It reopened in September 1, 2000 with help from many volunteers as well as patrons who admired the work that the museum is sharing to many people.
