The Ella Sharp Museum provides the people of Jackson opportunities for the exploration of the visual arts and history of their community. The Museum works to achieve the preservation of the Merriman-Sharp historic site as well.
Located within the Ella Sharp Park, the art and Jackson history museum features 5 galleries that include the finest wildlife art collection in the Midwest. It also includes the 19th century farmhouse of Ella Sharp and the Ella?s Granary Restaurant.
The Ella Sharp Museum is listed on the National Register of Historical Places. It is also recognized as a Michigan Landmark and accredited by the American Association of Museums. It is open from Tuesday to Wednesday and Friday to Saturday from 10a.m. to 5p.m. and on Thursdays from 10a.m. to 7p.m.
