The Menominee County Historical Museum features an animated miniature circus that provides amusement and excitement to the visitors. They can push its button to make the clown ride on his motorcycle, to make the elephants perform and work as they push a wagon, and many more. This model of the museum is actually a good and close approximation of the 1929 Cole Brothers circus. It is even said to be one of the better models in the United States. Bill King, the curator, got the circus bug when he was a boy during the 1930?s as a result of living near the train tracks where circuses used to unload.
Visitors to the Museum will also be able to enjoy the beautifully restored St. John?s Catholic Church that was built in 1921. It can accommodate thousands of interesting things given its massive size. Inside, there is also a corner that features the works of local artists including carved wood animals, winter scenes, portraits of local characters, and other significant local buildings.
The Museum also features Menominee Indian artifacts that include two old dugout canoes.
