The Elephant Rocks State Park is a state park and recreation area in Belleview, Missouri. It is touted as a family friendly and unique destination.
The Elephant Rocks State Park got its name from the unique series of large granite boulders that are found at the site. The rocks resemble a train of pink circus elephants, so it was dubbed as such. It covers more than 130 acres and features the well known Elephant Rocks Natural Area.
Visitors of the Elephant Rocks State Park can enjoy hiking, picnicking, and rock climbing at the park. History buffs can also get a great kick out of the carvings on the rocks, which were made mostly by former miners who used to work in the area.
