The Hawn State Park is a state park and recreation area in Sainte Genevieve, Missouri. It is believed to be and touted as one of the loveliest units in the Missouri state parks system.
Founded in 1955, the Hawn State Park is deemed as a superb example of the eastern Ozark sandstone country of the state of Missouri. It sits on the eastern edge of the St. Francois mountain range, allowing it to offer some of the most beautiful and important landscapes in the state.
Offering almost five thousand acres, the Hawn State Park is perfect for hiking, backpacking, camping, picnicking, and orienteering. It also attracts geology buffs, as it contains Pickle Creek which offers a good amount of exposed rock types.
