The Knob Noster State Park is a state park and recreation area in Knob Noster, Missouri. It is a family friendly park that offers a great variety of outdoor activities.
Founded in 1946, the Knob Noster State Park was a product of the National Park Service?s efforts to restore lands that were once cleared for farming, mining, and lumbering. It is named after the nearby town where two small hills or knobs are found. The hills are noted because the area is a relatively flat area in the state.
Visitors of the Knob Noster State Park can enjoy the site?s rich natural setting and diverse habitats through camping, hiking, horseback riding, biking, picnicking, fishing, and boating. A great amount of visitors also go to the site to watch the B-2 Spirit bombers at the nearby Whiteman Air Force Base.
