His most famous work is the ?Maple Leaf Rag?, which became the ragtime?s first biggest and most influential hit of all time, making it considered as the archetypal rag.
Located in St. Louis, Missouri, the Scott Joplin House State Historic Site features the home of the musician and an authentic player piano that plays Joplin?s melodies. It is furnished the way it was in 1902, while Joplin and his wife still took residence on the building.
