The first ever Nebraskaland Days event was held in 1965, as a celebration organized by the state to promote tourism and pay tribute to the men and women who opened the way for today?s Nebraskaland. It was held in Lincoln, Nebraska, and lasted for 4 days. At first, there were only a few events to enjoy in the annual event that had a budget of $50,000. Today, the 12-day Nebraskaland Days celebration is complete with music and entertainment from top performers, sports events, food festivals, boxing, art exhibits, and many more activities that attract up to 100,000 people.
