The Bartley Ranch Regional Park is one of the most versatile Reno attractions where families can enjoy a lot of outdoor activities while learning about local history. It is a perfect place for the whole family to have a picnic, go biking, hiking or horseback riding. If you want to know more about the region?s rich history, you may visit the Western Heritage Interpretive Center and the old Huffaker Schoolhouse that was originally built during the early 1900s. The schoolhouse was restored and moved to Bartley Ranch in 1992 and still house the original school bell created by the San Francisco Garratt Bell and Brass Foundry. They were successful in maintaining its old school charm by painting the walls white and the roof red.

Anyone can rent this place for performances, weddings and meetings. You may also opt to visit the park during the Reno Celtic Celebration (held every October) and participate in highland games or watch concerts and dance performances at the Robert Z. Hawkins Amphitheater. Entrance to the park is free and vehicle parking is not a problem.
