The Nevada Gambling Museum focuses on the history of gaming in the entire country. Through the Museum?s collections, people are given the opportunity to explore the past of gaming dating back from the ancient times up to the present. The Museum?s collection is already valued over half a million dollars. This collection of vintage gaming memorabilia includes over 100 incredible slot machines from the 1800?s and early 1900?s, gambler weapons such as knives and guns, cheating devices, interesting photos, and other objects related to gambling. Visitors to the Museum will also find an old US money display that features $500 and $1000 bills on site.
Aside from these artifacts, there are also 4 life-size statues of famous Western characters with bellies built with slot machines on them. To further depict the history of gaming, the Museum also gives recognition to the Fey family through an exhibit.
Charels Fey invented the first self-playing slot machine in San Francisco in 1898. Today, it is named the Liberty Bell and only three of them currently remain.
