The South Jersey Museum of American History features a collection of artifacts from all over America. These artifacts are made accessible to the public through displays that are presented in an attractive and educational way. The Museum?s collection focuses on the national history as well as the role of South Jersey in the region?s collective heritage. With a total of 60 exhibits on display, the Museum also features permanent exhibits that feature artifacts from the Pre-Columbian up to the Colonial Era as well as farmstead and antique hand tools equipment, Pine Barrens, ceramics, glass, and a political history exhibit.
The Farmstead exhibit shows visitors a variety of tools and equipment in agriculture that were used in the 19th and early 20 century. The Pre-Columbian exhibit documents the early Americans from the Pale-Indian Period to the Archaic Periods and the Woodland Period. The artifacts on this display depict the lifestyle of the people and its evolution. The Colonial and Pine Barrens documents the history of America covering industries, major ports, and many more.
