Allegany State Park is a state recreational and natural area in the state of New York. It is the largest state park in the New York State Park System and contains two developed areas for park visitor use namely Red House and Quaker.
The park itself is known for its forested valleys, unglaciated landscape, and natural wildlife. Because of the sheer size of the park, most of the park amenities are located in two developed areas. These areas have sand beaches, hiking trails, camp grounds, museums, picnic areas, and naturalist walks.
The park boasts a large assortment of accommodations for all types of camp visitors. The park offers 424 campsites and 375 cabins; the Art Roscoe Ski Touring Are has over 150 winterized cabins.
