The Arnot Art Museum is a world-class fine arts institution that houses a permanent collection consisting of 17th to 19th century European paintings, 19th and 20th century American Art, 19th to 21st century contemporary paintings as well as collections of Asian, Pre-Columbian, Native American, and Egyptian collections. Inhabiting its 1833 original showcase, the Museum also has temporary exhibits that concentrate on certain aspects of the collections including works from all over the world.
It also has biennial exhibition and Re-presenting Representation that is nationally recognized as it features the best contemporary representational art, complementing the museum?s widening collection of contemporary work.
The Museum also hosts annual cocktail parties and other programs and events that add emphasis to the significance of the Museum?s collections.
