High Tor State Park is a state park and recreational area in the town of Clarkstown, New York.
Open during the summer months, High Tor State Park is a day use facility which features recreational areas and amenities for its park visitors. Hiking trails extend from the park entrances to areas around the park for wildlife viewing and other similar activities. It?s pool and shower area is popular among local residents and transients as an escape from the summer temperatures and as a convenient family entertainment area. Picnic tables and food concessionaires are also at hand for those who wish to spend some time dining in the park.
Some of the most visited sites in the part include Little Tor and High Tor which rises over 710 feet and 832 feet respectively which provide scenic view points.
