The Blumenthal Performing Arts Center is a noted performance venue in Charlotte, North Carolina. Also known as the North Carolina Blumenthal Performing Arts Center or the NC BPAC, the center is a theater complex with six venues under its management.
Built in 1992, the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center is actually named in honor of the people of the state of NC and the Blumenthal Foundation who gave a lot in making this venue come to life. Most of the funds used in constructing the building are from private donations, in addition to the $15 million allocation by the state government.
The Blumenthal Performing Arts Center is home to the 2100-seater Belk Theater, the 434-seater Booth Playhouse, the 172-seater Stage Door Theater, the 1193-seater Knight Theater, the 700-seater McGlohon Theatre, the multipurpose Duke Power Theatre, and the 2400-seater Ovens Auditorium.
