The Bunker Hill Covered Bridge is a covered span in Claremont, North Carolina. It is one of the only two remaining covered bridges in the state and is the last remaining example of the Improved Lattice Truss patented by German Herman Haupt that is made out of wood.
The Bunker Hill Covered Bridge was built by Andy L. Ramsour in 1895 across the Lyle?s Creek. It was originally an open span, with its roof added only in 1900. It was donated in 1985 by the Bolick family to the Catawba County Historical Association, who restored it in 1994 with the aid of the master bridgewright Arnold M. Graton.
The Bunker Hill Covered Bridge was named a National Civil Engineering Landmark in 2001.
