The Carthage Historical Museum is a local history museum located in Carthage, North Carolina. It focuses on the local past events of the area, celebrating the things that helped it become what it is today.
The Carthage Historical Museum also serves as a home for a collection of artifacts that chronicles more than 200 years of the area?s history. It preserves and exhibits these historic items and objects at the very least, so younger generations can still have a chance of learning their heritage. They have several exhibits that focus on the town?s history of being a well known buggy factory, which is also the very reason why they celebrate the annual buggy festival.
The Carthage Historical Museum is open every Sunday, from 2 to 5 pm.
