The Coats Museum enables visitors to learn more about the town of Coats as well as its surrounding areas.
The Museum, located in the beautiful Coats Heritage Square, exists for the collection, preservation, and exhibition of the material culture and history of the Coats community for the purpose educating the locals and visitors. By providing them with educational opportunities, the Museum promotes the understanding of and appreciation for the past of this town, which was chartered in 1905, by featuring interpretive exhibits, data banks, and genealogies. The Museum offers a 2-volume publication that shows the chronological history of the Coats area community. Visitors who come in for the purpose of research can access an ongoing record of significant events that are relevant and related to the history of the families within the community.
The Museum features military, historical, and aviation exhibits. It also offers programs and special events that further enhance its cultural and historical significance within the community.
The Museum is open to the public only on Sundays from 2:00 pm to 5:00. Other time slots are available by appointment.
