K?rner?s Folly is a historic house and landmark in Kernersville, North Carolina. It is best known for being touted as the ?strangest house in the world? in terms of design and overall quality.
K?rner?s Folly was completed around 1880, but it was always a work in progress. Named after the original owner, Jule Gilmer K?rner, the house was constantly tinkered with by its residents. They keep on adding and making changes to it.
Initially built as a catalogue for the painter/interior designer K?rner, the house is technically a three-story residence. However, it has seven levels inside, as the floors and ceilings are not of the same height. It is connected by several passageways and stairways.
Today, K?rner?s Folly is open to the public for tours all year round.
