North Carolina?s Aviation Museum was founded to preserve the aviation of North and South Carolina. With its collections of helicopters, aircraft, gadgets, printed material, and other equipment that have contributed to the history and accomplishments of the state?s aviation timeline, both young and old visitors will surely find the facility enjoyable as it taps the aircraft buff from within each individual. There are also interactive displays that enhance the aviation experience of each guest.
Since the Museum is located adjacent to the Charlotte Douglas International Airport, visitors will also get to watch all types of commercial and private aircraft, including large jets, as they takeoff and land.
The Museum provides its educational experience on Mondays to Fridays at 10am to 4pm, on Saturdays at 10am-5pm; and on Sundays from 1pm to 5pm.
