The Roanoke Island Festival Park is an outdoor adventure venue located in Manteo, North Carolina. It is composed of several attractions that tell of a wide array of various historical events and show visitors of how colorful and engaging the past is.
One of the main features of the Roanoke Island Festival Park is the Elizabeth II, a representation of the ship Elizabeth II, which was one of the seven English ships that sailed as a part of the Roanoke Voyage of 1585. Folks can explore the recreated ship, set the sails, swab the decks, or even plot its course. Aside from the ship, there?s also an art gallery, museums, a history center, and boardwalks among other site attractions.
The Roanoke Island Festival Park is open March 1 to December 31 from 9 am to 5 pm daily.
