Located in the city of Greensboro, North Carolina is the historic Tanger Family Bicentennial Garden. It was created in 1976 in celebration of the United States? bicentennial, thus the name, and has continuously served as a tourist attraction and well known landmark in the city.
The Tanger Family Bicentennial Garden is composed of landscaped land area, filled with beautiful annuals, flowering trees, perennials, and canopy trees. Beautiful stone work like sculptures, a bridge, and stairway can also be found on the site. They also have a man-made stream, as well as a romantic gazebo. There?s also a section known as the ?Sensory Garden?, where visitors can enjoy an interactive landscape experience.
The Tanger Family Bicentennial Garden is managed by the Greensboro Parks and Recreation Department, with the help of the non-profit organization, Greensboro Beautiful.
