The Thomas Wolfe Memorial is a North Carolina Historic Site in Asheville, NC. It is dedicated to commemorating and honoring the life and achievements of Thomas Wolfe, a celebrated 20th century novelist and Asheville local.
The Thomas Wolfe Memorial is also a biographical museum depicting the life of Wolfe. It is housed in his former home, the famous ?Dixieland?, as immortalized in his classic novel, ?Look Homeward, Angel?. Also known as the Old Kentucky Home, the Victorian structure was a former boarding house ran by Wolfe?s mother and his home for ten years.
In honor and memory of Thomas Wolfe, the Tomas Wolfe Memorial is kept in the way as it had always looked when he was still living in it. It features original furnishings and many other items filling its 29 rooms.
