The Anadarko Community Library is a department from the city government and it was made to extend and share its services and library facilities to each and every member of its immediate community right in the area of Anadarko. They want to open their doors to everyone regardless of creed, gender, age, race, and class. They want to meet the various needs of everyone whether it is educational, cultural, informational and even leisurely. They are very supportive of the purpose of lifelong learning with special focus on their reading programs.
They are open full days on Monday to Friday and serves the community on a half day basis every Saturday and closed on Sundays. They are proud of three major programs that they give emphasis like the story time, and discussion on the brown bag and the teen book. These groups meet regularly and it is a great mean of getting to know new people that share your interest on books. They also hold regular events that feature one particular book for their events.
