The Oklahoma State Prison Rodeo is an event where you get to see prisoners from the Oklahoma State Penitentiary join in the IPRA cowboys to do some prison rodeo presentation right behind the walls. This is a one of a kind presentation that you will not get to witness in other states or city in the country. Imagine the inmate cowboys performing with the free cowboys. This rodeo presentation showcases a lot of steer wrestling too along with inmate bareback riding.

There are also some bull riding sessions, the roping from the IPRA team, the wild horse race by the inmates, and calf roping and all the more. This is an event that runs for a total of two days that can attract about 15,000 visitors each year. It is only seldom that the community gathers up together to also promote the activities made by the inmates and the free cowboys. If you like also the rodeo stuff of activities, then you will enjoy watching this event that brings the entire community together in the works. It helps a lot in lessening the level of discrimination the society gives to most prisoners.
