Built in 1916, the Gallon House Bridge is a covered bridge made of wood in the county of Marion, Oregon. It crosses the Abiqua Creek, compelling other folks to call it as the Abiqua Creek Covered Bridge as well.

Gallon House Bridge got its name from its history of being the ?pigeon drop? for bootleggers and moonshiners during the Prohibition Era. Aside from this participation in the local historical events, the bridge was also notable for being the last of the Marion County?s original covered bridges.

The Gallon House Bridge has been revived a couple of times in the past already. It was restored in 1964 after being swept away by a great flood, and in 1985 when a chord was damaged, which led to the structure being closed to traffic. Today, it is open for vehicular traffic of up to 10 tons.
