The Little Log Church is a small building in Yachats that has been standing on the coastal community for generations.
It is built from local timber hauled through the Yachats River and it uses the shape of a cross. The structure was completely constructed and dedicated in 1930. The congregation serviced by the church grew larger starting the need for a bigger space. Members then built a new church near the Little Log Cabin, which was sold to the Oregon Historical Society under the condition that it is to be maintained as a museum. In 1986, the property was deeded to the city of Yachats.
In 1993, the building was completely restored through the support of enthusiastic members of the community, together with the massive efforts of volunteer workers.
Today the Little Log Church Museum boasts of a rich collection that features local historical artifacts and contemporary works that are on loan and displayed in exhibits. The site still serves as a lovely venue for weddings, memorials, exhibits, and other special events.
