The Old McKenzie Fish Hatchery is a 1928 building in the Vida community, in Lane County, Oregon. The current structure was a replacement to the one built in 1907.
Constructed for the purpose of raising trout and salmon that were later released to the McKenzie River, the Old McKenzie Fish Hatchery grew fishes until the early years of the 1950s. It was a pretty big hatchery during its heyday, but the facility was later closed down when a newer structure was finished in 1953.
Today, the Old McKenzie Fish Hatchery operates as a county park under the supervision of the Lane County. It has also been listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996 when studies concluded that the site was of great historical significance.
