The Washburne State Wayside is a state park and recreation area in Junction City, Oregon. It is a beautiful wayside park that sits in between the counties of Lane and Benton.
The most attractive and charming feature of the Washburne State Wayside is its resident Douglas fir trees. The park is filled with these, providing a good amount of shade for picnicking and just spending the day in a quiet spot away from the city?s hustle and bustle.
Aside from picnicking, the Washburne State Wayside is also ideal for bird watching, wildlife viewing, and nature study. There are several historic and interpretive signs scattered around the park, teaching visitors of the important facts and information about the area. Walking trails are also found inside the park.
