Situated on a beautiful yet small winding road in Lane County, Oregon is the Wildcat Creek Covered Bridge. It was built in 1925 across the spot where the Wildcat Creek meets the Siuslaw River.

Upon completion, it was connected with the Stagecoach Road which used to be the main road to the coast. However, in the 1930s, it was bypassed through the completion of the Linslaw Tunnel and Mapleton Bridge. The Austa boat ramp was also created nearby to provide access to the Siuslaw River for those interested to fish.

The Wildcat Covered Bridge was closed for some time during the 1980s and in the year 2000 for some repairs, but when they were completed, the 75 foot long bridge opened to the public again.
