Tucked inside the Ninigret National Wildlife Refuge is the Frosty Drew Observatory. Equipped with the heavy duty 16? Schmidt Cassegrain Meade LX200 telescope, it could easily be one of the best spots to be in during a clear Friday night.

Opened in 1999, the Frosty Drew Observatory is also home to a vintage Questar telescope (40 years old), as well as a 10 inch Dobsonian. Visitors can also bring their own equipment, as mounting piers are available on the site.

Aside from the Frosty Drew Observatory, visitors can also enjoy the scenery in the area. As it is located in a wildlife area, folks can also take a peek at the Nature Center nearby where artifacts and other memorabilia are available.
