A Taste of Beaufort is the name of the annual event in the downtown Beaufort area. It is a well known festivity in South Carolina and neighboring states for being a celebration of the area?s cuisine. Local restaurants show off during this time along the historic Bay Street.

Basically a three day event starting on Friday evenings, visitors can already savor the many flavors of Beaufort during this weekend. All you need to do is purchase a ticket, and you can already grab a bite of the participating food items at the A Taste of Beaufort event. Aside from the food, there are also wine tastings, magic shows, and some dancing, with the Beaufort Shag Club teaching visitors how to do the official dance of South Carolina.

A Taste of Beaufort is commonly held around the month of May.
