Located at the Clemson University Edisto Research Station, the Agricultural Heritage Center of South Center of South Carolina consists of two different coordinated parts namely the Agricultural Heritage Museum and the Agricultural Heritage ?Hands-On? learning Center. Both part of the Agricultural Heritage Center features the history of agriculture and shows the importance of agricultural endeavors throughout South Carolina.
The Agricultural Heritage Museum focuses on expressing and interpreting South Carolina?s historical and cultural influences of agriculture meanwhile the Agricultural Heritage Learning Center focuses on both past and future methods in encouraging students in learning about agriculture and the impact of our local farmers. The Agricultural Heritage Center was formed to give the public a better understanding how agriculture influences our culture and economics for the benefit of everyone worldwide.
The Agricultural Heritage Center attracts not only locals and residents but also visitors from other state and country and it is open from Monday to Saturday at 9am to 4pm, the tour costs $2.00 per person with a tour minimum of 10 persons and K-12 students are welcome free of any charges.
