Located in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina is the Charles Pinckney National Historic Site. It is a known attraction in the area, mostly since it is a preservation of some portions of the Charles Pinckney Snee Farm. This portion is just 28 acres of the original 715 acre farm that the Friends of Historic Snee Farm rescued when the area was being developed.
The Charles Pinckney National Historic Site is a significant location mostly for its relationship with Charles Pinckney. Pinckney was a primary signer of the Constitution of the United States, a former South Carolina governor, and minister to Spain under President Thomas Jefferson?s regime.
The Charles Pinckney National Historic Site dates back to the early 1800s. The main house was built in 1828.
