Built in 1855, the C.P. Quattlebaum House is a historic building in Conway, South Carolina. It became the home of the first mayor of the city of Conway, Cephas Perry Quattlebaum, when he bought it in 1887. After purchasing the property, he took the liberty to renovate it extensively. Most of what is present today dates back to this remodelling.
The C.P. Quattlebaum House is mostly historically significant for its close association with Cephas P. Quattlebaum. The man served the Horry County as a prominent lawyer and politician. He was also the city?s first ever mayor.
The C.P. Quattlebaum is listed on the National Register of Historic Places in August 1986. The listing includes the late 1800s weatherboard-clad smoke house.
