Made for John Drayton in the late 1730s to early 1730s, the Drayton Hall is actually the oldest building in the United States that is still open for public tours. It boasts of being different from other historic homes in the country in the aspect that its management maintains and preserves the property in the near-original condition as it was received from the Draytons when it was initially acquired in 1974.
Drayton Hall is a true gem in many respects. For one, it is well known for its exceptional guided tours, which is very educational and informative. Also, the fact that it stayed in the Drayton family for centuries is another great thing that makes it authentic and unadulterated in a way.
The Drayton Hall is a National Trust Historic Site.
