Emil E. Lengnick House Rating: None

The Emil E. Lengnick House is a relatively new building in one of the historic neighborhoods of Beaufort, South Carolina. Unlike the other, more closely noted, structures in the locality, this one was only built in the early 1900s, around 1905 to 1912, and some even say that it was completed on 1907. This makes it a century younger than some of its neighbors.

In any case, the Emil E. Lengnick House is still noted for its architectural value. Aside from being designed in the Queen Anne vernacular style, the house is also strategically angled so it could receive the Beaufort River breeze freely. This helps the house get a cool, lovely, atmosphere and a slightly unusual look. Some influences of the Gothic and Victorian styles are also evident on the house.
