Also known simply as the Falls Park, the Falls Park on the Reedy is a 26 acre public park built in 1967 by the Carolina Foothills Garden Club, aided by the Planning Commission, Furman University, and the City of Greenville. They rescued the Reedy River from utter pollution, and developed the area into a nice attraction that both tourists and locals could enjoy.
The Falls Park on the Reedy features a series of small natural waterfalls along the Reedy River. They also have the unique Liberty Bridge, a number of beautiful gardens, the bronze sculpture made by artist Bryan Hunt, as well as the restored historic Falls Cottage. The site is also the venue of the annual Upstate Shakespeare Festival.
