Historic Brattonsville is a historic complex in McConnells, South Carolina. It is one of the most important and heavily visited tourist attractions in the state.
Historic Brattonsville traces its history back to the 18th century. It was used as a homestead by the Bratton family, some members of which even became prominent war officials. The site currently tells of its Scots-Irish or Ulter-Scots roots and heritage, through the story of the Brattons.
The Historic Brattonsville is composed of more than 300 historic structures dating back from the 18th and 19th centuries. It measures a total of 775 acres worth of land area, with a living history village and a preserved Revolutionary War battlefield site. There are tons to see around here, making it a popular destination.
