Also called the Dunmeade, the H.W. Ambrose House is a historic home in Horry County, South Carolina. It was built in the mid-1920s, from 1924 to 1926, as a two and a half story Tudor Revival style mansion.

The H. W. Ambrose House is significant mostly for its architecture. Its style was adopted from an English manor. Although, this kind of architectural style is popular elsewhere, it is rarely found in the Southeast.

Aside from its architecture, the H.W. Ambrose House is also known for its connection with Henry Ambrose, a former general manager to the Conway Lumber Company. The H.W. Ambrose House was built for him and his wife, Maude Law Ambrose. Since she was from Canada and the Tudor style is popular there, they decided that this design is just appropriate.
