Located in Cokesbury, South Carolina is the historic building of the Masonic Female Collage and Cokesbury Conference School. It was built in 1824 and housed various educational institutions. It was acquired by the Masonic Female College of South Carolina in 1854. In 1876 it became the site of the Cokesbury Conference School.
What made the site historically significant is the fact that it housed almost every kind of educational institutions there is. It housed one of the few schools for young women in the 1800s. After its operation, it was then transformed to an all-boys school, and then to a co-ed afterwards. Soon enough, it became a public school.
The site of the Masonic Female College and Cokesbury Conference School is now being used by the United Methodist Church.
